The poor guy who did it is still scarred for life and in therapy because he can't deal with it

Huh no they don't? They count as involuntary manslaughter at best if the person was drunk or was at fault for the accident happening but sometimes it was the victim who was at fault for the accident like if they drove too fast,... 
it's "ubetinget drap" in norwegian so it's obviously murder, you are even as an accident doing something or failing to do something which resulted in someone being died i.e. you ended their life which is.. death causing which is murder

my dad's cousin murdered someone but that was very much on purpose you can't be like oopsie i accidentally stabbed someone multiple times with several different knives such an unfortunate accident
