Yeah, my issue is that it's no point in using the term. People throw it around in a manner that makes me wonder if they don't trust anything.
I also thought about it,
but I think this slang has now gained popularity because of this game so it's being used more because...
well I don't know I might be young but I don't understand this at all.

The use of it is so absurd to me, I guess we'll see a lexical weakening of the term resulting the meaning gradually meaning something different than the word it is a shortened form of. If the definition of urban dictionary is not adequately covering the term I hope someone can enlighten me so I can better understand the actual meaning behind it, because if it is indeed suspect/suspicious in the meaning of those terms.. well.. hm.

Sus is indeed suspect/suspicious, exactly those 2 terms.

Why you can see it in almost every meme online right now?
I'd assume because human beings are suckers for popularity and being liked so they'll throw this thing anywhere to be a part of something and feel liked?
or get some attention out of it.

Hopefully it's a stupid fad and is gone as fast as it appeared, the use of it is just plain illogical.

I think it'll die pretty quickly, lately, there's not a lot of formats or ideas of memes that stay alive for a long time.

So the backstory is that Lance Stroll (Racing Point BWT (??) F1 driver) was feeling unwell today so Nico Hülkenberg was called up to replace him for the quali and the race, it's the second time this season Nico Hülkenberg is called up by RP to fill in for a sick driver as Sergio Perez caught covid while he was back in Mexico between some races resulting in him losing two races.
