all hamsters, fish, indoor cats etc
one thing i question with this is just, where else would those hamsters be?

Idk i understand the thought, but i can't imagine some of these animals surviving outside.
what....
lol how do mice survive
hamsters live in the nature in middle east

also breeding is a huge problem and wrong
It wasn't like based on an opinion, i just never knew or could have imagined. Mostly because im just thinking how small dwarf hamsters are and how they had survive against others ;u;

What ?? They r outside almost all the time
theyre a menace to eco systems
also outdoor cats can live around like 7 years but indoor cats can live to over 20 so its way worse for the cats too
Yep!
If they're outdoor without being looked upon they get easily injuries, may get killed or abused (which happens a lot), get hit by cars etc etc. How humans view cats as outdoor pets without being looked after by the petowner are more of a attitude which is legitimated by ''it always been this way and therefore it's okay''. Cat should be activated, but to let them roam with no supervision is in my eyes ruthless.
I've been thinking opposite until i've seen from experience what happend to many outdoor cats to my friends, read lots of studies abt outdoor n indoor cats and my view changed. It's uncommon opinion to have and easily get ppl uncomfortable talking abt it.

Isn't it already like that, pretty much
I guess that depends on the country. In Germany it seems to be only banned in restaurants rn

i don't care where people smoke if they do, but i fucking hate it when people can't put their cigarette butts in garbage bins even when it's right next to them
so one vote for smoking areas

People used to have better taste in architecture, interior in the 1800s than they do now.
So much tacky stuff out there....

White furniture is ugly 99% of the time and doesn't fit the room.

i've many opinions that are deemed "unpopular" but i guess it comes down to where you state them - irl, online and in closed groups.

personally, i think misogyny is something ppl don't see as a worldwide problem, because they're so entranced in it, both subconsciously and consciously, that they don't notice how much it impacts women from birth to death.
also i think being ignorant and dismissing misogyny all together are either coping (women) or enforcing it (men).

arguably any kind of "ownership" is wrong but when we live in a world where animals are property one way or another, i find it far more unethical to let them roam free in a place and eco system theyre not supposed to be in, putting themselves, the animals and the people around them in danger
I understand your point yea
maybe it’s just that i’m from the countryside but i just can’t help but pity all the indoor cats. You’d think they get bored. And i really don’t know if the cats are that much of a danger to anything.

Honestly i don’t support owning any kind of animals in city areas. Or if you live in a block of flats etc. Maybe that’s my point. I have to add that i’d never get an outdoor cat in a town...

its why ppl need to stop falling into the "cats are easy pets" hole really
theyre perfectly happy as long as u engage them properly, which ppl rarely do. they just dangle a toy in front of them for a few minutes and then let them out when they become agitated, which isnt proper cat care. they kill countless birds and smaller animals when theyre out, driving several species to extinction

i'm not completely against indoor cat tho, but yeah breeding is the problem
i wouldn't ever buy breeded cat, but i could adopt a indoor cat from someone who could not give them forever home

somewhere in the future where i'll get dogs, i'll probably adopt them too
but i guess i learned that from my mother before anyone was even talking about these problems. all of our dogs has been adopted expect one  (because seriously who has time and nervers to train a puppy)

im w u on this one
my cats live at my parents place in a rural area
id never get a cat where i live in the city, both cause i would never trust that it could be let outside without people doing anything to it, but also keeping a cat in a 50m2 apartment is in my eyes cruel, but that might just be cause i grew up w letting my cats outside idk
