I LIKED THE DANCING!! i think the relatively easy to learn choreos helped make dancing accessible, made ppl get up and move and it was weirdly unifying. like "omg, you know the cannibal dance? so do i!"

i think it was more of a "straight tiktok dances for attention whereas we're cool and epic without it" or smthn. idk. alt tiktok has calmed down a lot though, but now there's a lot of performative activism on it.
