they're giving me the money because they wanna see me put together a real portfolio, cuz i have been dabbling for almost a decade and they like what they see but want to see it refined. the goal of the grant is to help and push unknown, and unrefined artists into real success. i am so grateful, and i helped several friends get the grant too.

the first grant they gave me back last summer is to teach an embroidery school for teenage girls in 2021. in the town i live in "teaching artists" are a big thing, folks who have realized they are not happy selling their art but want to share their skills so they do not die out.
this is sooooooo cool n inspirational tbh wow! i rly would love to learn how to do so much of that stuff lol i hope 2021 is a great year for u

i was supposed to teach some of this in jails in eastern KY but covid locked the jails down on my first day.
hopefully when its safe to do so i'll be able to start scrapbooking and journaling w women in jail

yeaaa same, i actually had a lot of good stuff come out of year but i guess it was the circumstances that just made it a bad year in general
