I think it's a bad idea. Yunger people often think too briefly and naively. There is often a lack of political education - although there might be exceptions, but still. At the age of 16 I would have voted for a completely different party than today (22) - for example.

idk that can also happen at any point in life too. people change parties later in life all the time.

Idk which is worse? Letting baby boomers have the most say during elections or giving 16 yr olds the right to vote. lol
I can't say I give a shit if ppl vote different than me, they r allowed to think for themselves, the problem is 16 year olds r barely even in puberty lol, they r so steered by the ppl around them. Even voting at 18 is sketchy but
It was mostly a joke tbh.
But ye... idk where I fully stand on that. Some 16 yr olds have formed their own thoughts and opinions, but I've noticed a lot that haven't done much of that *cough my brother* and spout the ignorant shit their super religious 60+ yr old teachers say... (That's v specific though. He's a 17 yr old in a private Catholic school lol)
My sister is the most stupid person ever n also everyone I've met through her is the most stupid person ever. Most 18 year olds don't even vote cus most ppl don't care but 16 year olds r like,,,, very much more just,, sheeps, idk how to explain it

i actually think 16 is old enough lmao

by 16 youve got your own opinions and enough understanding of shit
Yeah me too, also, people usually vote thinking about what personally affects them, 16-18 (19) care about high school while honestly the rest of us don't. So I think it can cause high school to actually improve because people start voting for people who want to change the system.
Don't get me wrong, I absolutely despise people younger than me but I think that in all honesty if we believe 16 y/o is an appropriate age to get kids (aka the consent age thing in norway) .. well.

and some adults change what party they vote for every single time so like it's a very very very weak argument you had like ~20% of the population in Bergen voting for a political party with 1, i repeat ONE, thing they had an idea about, namely those toll things that are placed on roads so people have to pay a small fee when they drive, removing those were literally the only thing they cared about. about 20% of all voters voted on a ONE CASE party to govern in their commune for 4 YEARS.

Yeah... when I was 16-17 (2016 elections) I wouldn't give myself the right to vote LOL.
My opinions haven't changed to an extreme since then, but plenty of stuff I don't think the exact same way about now and uh... I was very influenced by some youtubers at the time.

I don't think you are quite comprehending what I was saying too well. And for that fact I will choose to no longer respond on this topic. Thank you.
