yesss I went to a german waldorf school and I loved it.

1. you dont get grades until your in class 9 ( I think) it's been a while
2. you are learning in "epochs" that means for three weeks you always have the same subject in the first two hours.
3. yes you have eurythmie and yes I can dance my name
4. you have a let of fancy subjects like gardening, forging or sewing in the lower classes

But in the end, we are all pretty normal people at the waldorf schools :d

the amount of kids i had to pick up from the gressløk garden because they were eating all of it................
honestly they just have to expect it, having a delicius gressløk source right there in the schoolyard

also since im not at risk of doxxing myself from this (or actually im in some pics on the school site lmao) but i went to steinerskolen i fredrikstad and the school is SO WEIRDLY SHAPED. it was fun but the first time i was there i was like ?? cause i came from a public brick school to one thats purple and green. like what

i have only worked at like 2 or 3 steiner ones, i worked mostly at public ones, so take this with a grain of salt but
closed community, different values, not much diversity, some parents are uuhhhhh idk what to say, a lot of dancing and singing, and very "hands on" behaviour (like they touch the children a lot, cuddles, massage etc) not that its bad or anything but i found it a bit strange hahaha

Gotchu, I work mostly kindergarten. But from all kindergarten we don't rlly touch as much unless the kids want to or do it themselves. Feels uncomfy if i'd do it, like - all in for physical touch but it must be done by them first and foremost lmaoo.
What values have u noticed they have?

oh yeah this was all at kindergartens btw, never worked at the schools
yeah at the public ones there were a lot less touch, unless the kids needed a hug and stuff
hard to explain the values, but creativity and play comes first (which i dont think is bad, but the kids basically ran wild and there were never consequences for biting, hitting etc haha)
there were a lot of cool things too tho, like we grew a lot of food there and spent lots of time outside
I think I know what you mean, it seems v eccentric. In the kindergartens i went to we'd never allow biting or hitting damn. I feel like it's going to be weird to be teacher assistant there, hope the teachers there and kids are kind

but honestly im very happy i went there. if u come from a public school system its a lot to get used to, but its overall enjoyable and i think its a good environment for children. they were by far the happiest school years i had. like the only weird thing is that 1) somehow all teachers agree that jeans under wrap skirts is The Fashion Statement they need to make and 2) theyre disproportionally fond of friluftsliv. the schools r infested with hobby skiers

Tho, isn't it unfair, esp vgs grades, if they get grades without tests/eksamen like everyone else, and based on uhh,, effort/whatever they would give u grades for? Like when searching urself into higher education n stuff at least . Thinking
