The intake manager at my local aps filed a report for an investigator. He said she likely qualifies as a vulnerable adult because of her bipolar I. 

He suggested calling the police. My mom said she plans to report her mom for theft if she does not receive her money by the 6th (she sent her mom a letter apparently). I'll message her tonight and ask her if she wants me to go ahead and report her mom to the police.

Apparently she doesnt want too cuz she doesnt want her mom to go to jail 

I usually hate the police but considering a vulnerable person was conned I am considering calling dem fuckers if my mom refuses to call the cops

girl you're doing so good with all this

however you decide to proceed- i just wanna say you should be proud of yourself for figuring out who you can contact and like idk it seems like youre doing everything right?? idk if calling the police is right since your mom doesnt want to do it- this is a DIFFICULT moral dilemma you're in right now and i don't know the right answer. like i really want to see justice here but i also know that seeking justice isnt always going to be the best option for everyone since you  have to consider how it will effect the entire family system.

When I went back to school for a brief period I wrote a paper on student vouchers 

I found a study saying that the poor are the least likely to know about the student voucher programs they can qualify for 

It's almost as if welfare and social services are designed to be as inaccessible to the poor and/or vulnerable as possible

I guess shes been checking the status on the letter and it got sent out yesterday 

My gran has yet to check the mail 

I'm waiting til the 6th to make a decision on whether or not to call the cops, especially since I filed a report with the aps yesterday. That's the date she gave my gran to give the money til she files a report. But she goes back and forth between standing behind that and changing her mind

Idk we'll see
