idk i follow some youtubers that are men that i don't find attractive but that i think have things they could teach me about cooking/hiking/climbing, and i know men that have exactly 0 females on their youtube page where they go for knowledge about shit they are interested in

yeah idk your reasons ofc but i could just relate to the fact and for me i found that it was a lot easier to appreciate and respect men, and realized that i had to actually put effort into trying to actually see women and their work since society doesn't rly respect women lol

but i see ur and gilmore's points and think both perspectives are probably relevant
