Of course! There is room for trend-followers too! I don't care what people do with their style, I just care about the huge amount of waste there comes when all of these "trends" die out.
We should just welcome uniqueness over conformativity (Is that a word lol).

Hm yeah, influenced by society I guess, but also trends irl =/= trends online, so if u only follow trends online, u will look out of trend irl. I guess. I just think its weird how easily impressionable or fake some ppl r abt style, like they will suddenly dress a certain way they hated before just cus its popular, n I wonder if they rlly like it or not

thats ok too, some people find comfort in not conforming, thats why a lot of different subcultures exist 
i also think its more prominent in younger people who are still figuring out their identities, and many people grow out of trends not only because the trend has passed but also as a result of mental development
