i always play more story based, so i don't usually build up skills and relationships, but rather just cheat them to fit the beginning of the storyline, ahah. but then after spending weeks creating sims, building houses and like setting up the entire story, i get sick of it and never open that save again...
i would like to try a challenge, just to do something different, but i'm not good at following the rules so i'd just end up making up my own ahah
Ahhhhh yes!! I totally get that. You really do have periods when you play and when you don't! 
You could maybe try the 100 baby challenge? But change it to 10-20 babies? I haven't tried it but it sounds... like a lot, hehe... 

Or maybe just a building challenge? I found this one, thought it sounded fun but a little tricky! 
yes i've been considering trying the 100 baby challenge as well, but i must admit that the legacy one sounds a lot... less stressful, ahah

i'm really bad at building with a budget, so yeah maybe i need to try something like that!

i get that. i actually moved out my gen 1 and gave them some money and now i'm redoing the house and so on with gen 2!
