ok no, vegan cheese is just something that is so far from cheese, you wouldn't even call it distant cousinsMasileinDE wrote:
okay, call me weird but the thing I miss most about those dairy substitutes is the fat
like I only drink 3,5% milk when I buy the real one and the other ones are just so obviously water-based that I just can't get myself to like them when drinking plain? like they really do add a little bit of specialty to coffee (hazelnut is my go to for that) or go well with granola (basically anything works here) but for tea or just on its own, it kinda lacks the fat that helps support any kind of taste?
Oh yeah! I think about this when eating or making a lot of vegan fake meats too! Like what I’m missing there is the more like solid fats and stuff, and vegan dairy too 🥲 like I have a hard time with vegan cheese idk if it’s specifically because of the fat but yeah idk, sometimes it just lacks a lil smth when it’s trying to imitate something else okay, call me weird but the thing I miss most about those dairy substitutes is the fat
