Yes u can go to any doctor here also (25€ ish tho I think, for any doctors visit including ur gp etc etc) but I don't think they have the same rights to prescribe long term treatments and obv they don't know u so unless its some acute health issue I don't see the point
25€ is a lot. We had 10€ a while back but they abolished it too bc ppl got angry.

Doctors here can describe long term treatments too and if you are in a place longer than a few weeks switching your gp is prettx normal.
Mby only 20€ I have no idea, but theres an upper limit to how much u can spend a year (includea doctor, medication, therapy etc) but its a bit much lol

But yeah idk abt the long term treatments, I guess it depends on what medication etc. Like I doubt any random doctor can prescribe u strong painkillers or adhd meds or whatever like that, but like antibiotics yeah
Sorry can't have ur cancer treatment, you already needed too much
or how is this supposed to work lol

No its just everything us free after u hit that limit, but before u hit the limit  u have to pay. I have never hit the limit , but I guess its mostly forchronically ill pations or ppl in therapy. I know my grandpa had to have phototherapy (????) For his psoriasis and thats hella expensive so he hit the limit very fast

i don't want to change before he retires because he has always taken me seriously even despite all the shady vague symptoms
plus there aren't really enough gps in norway for the population so you might end up on a waitlist anyway, where i live now i think all gps have waitlists on 200+ or something outrageous
That's super weird.
Here you can just go to any other doctor for free if you are on vacation in a different part of the country etc.

I don't think I have ever had a gp not take me as a patient.

How much is the limit/ how much money do u have you have to spend  till they pay for it?

It sounds a bit unfair to low income ppl
