You get some pretty cool clothes and more importantly pet. The moonstones are also handy to have considering you either get them now or later in game

I would say it depends on of you want the extra items to start with. I bought it as a collector who had the money

Well the ballgown and the pets look amazing so I'll probs get the ultimate edition
And the furniture could also help me make my house cute in the beginning because in games with houses mine always looks so empty!!
