yesss thats what im worried about is the mindset for everyone else is going to be so different im not used to being around young people so much so im hoping it will help me just get my head down and focus more on uni than socialising

i mean i did make a lot of like minded friends in college but being older absolutely helped me focus on what mattered. im really glad i was older when i got my degree. i wasnt mature enoguh at eighteen.
oh yeah definitely happy i didnt go when i  was 18 i would have wasted it soo bad haha also i didnt know what i wanted to do so im glad i didnt just pick a random course and go with it cus i felt like i had to!

i think this is a good point, there are probably benefits to studying when you are older, being more mature and being able to take it more seriously will allow  you to also understand the course work better and do better on the exams etc, so youre getting a higher quality of education than if you were to do the same at 18

and then also as a returning adult myself i was more open to interacting with other adults. so like one of my besties from college was like forty something at the time. she wasnt making friends with little kids lol but i've learned so much from her as a friend.

Archeology or in its full name Archeology and the Ancient Near East is one subject
And German Language and Literature is another subject, language and literature combined

I thought it was a really loaded and tedious degree to pursue until I saw the schedule we have lol
I have 13 hours a week and it is nothing, next semester it'll be 14 I think

what  i get german language and literature being a bachelors degree and archeology being one but ive never heard of them combined

Yeah lmao you can combine them here

so the thing with my uni, is almost any Humanities subject cannot be taught on its own and you have to grab another subject that is related to it or in the humanities field

idk if it's a double major or dual thing but one of the 2, never understood the difference but hey, it's really cool, gives me exactly what I wanna in 1 degree instead of going for 2, that is, if I'll even manage to do it

when i did my bachelors in social anthropology i also did some gender study subjects bc my uni has this thing where u can pick a different study together w ur bachelor but its only 40 ects (out of the 180 that the bachelor consists of, where 100 of them was social anthropology subjects) and the degree is only for social anthropology so at this point i cant even do anything w my gender studies cause my bachelors degree is only "social anthropology"

120, 60 for each subject which is how the degree will have them both in the bachelor's degree and would be able to do something with both of them, at least that's how they explained it to us lol
