yea (,: it's so sad honestly, i wish gege were given time to develop the story; i can't imagine working on such a big series with such strict deadlines + getting surgery in the midst of it + returning mere weeks later and having to finish the story after 6? years ??
it's just upsettinggggg ahhhhh the story and the characters had so much potential
was it actually confirmed that gege wasnt given the time to finish the story?? there is just so much misinformation about gege online its hard to keep up lmao i know they have deadlines for shonen jump and im sure there was a lot he had to cut but it seems like the man lost the plot heavily in the later arcs. I feel like there was too much build up for things that he couldnt resolve logically. If you develop a story you have a rough outline of the ending and how many chapters it should contain i hope he didnt made things up as he went
i wouldn't say that hmm
what's been confirmed is that his health worsened and he had to undergo surgery, which is why some chapters were rushed/straight up unfinished (lots of examples online, he ended up polishing them for printed volume releases)
however, he couldn't have rushed the ending/made it up on spot because something like that takes years of planning so : D yeah the writing was just ass
didnt know he had surgery notice a lot of manga authors suffer with health issues but yea the story was bad even without the cut chapters man :/// so sad i really loved it at the start
