the german school system is fucked up. it's absolutely disgusting. i truly feel sorry for everyone on the hauptschule who doesn't have caring parents or teachers who will inspire them to unfold their potential.

It's also racist af, so many people whose parents were migrants (or just have a foreign sounding name) get sent to hauptschule regardless of their grades in grundschule.
exactly. i also think it's messed up how after only 4 years of school they determine whether you are one of the 'smart' kids who are capable of higher education or if you should go to the hauptschule? like what?
