hello i havent crocheted in a few months, i got demotivated. but thats okay, im back at it again. i just finished another checkered totebag, this one was for my grandfather bc he loved the one i made for myself so much

i remembered this blanked i fell in love with before i even learned to crochet and i promised myself i would make it someday. considering making it my project for the summer. but also it requires a ton of yarn...... yarn cost money...... sunflower blanket

Ooo yes that looks really nice! There are some nice cheap yarns you can buy online, I don't know if hobbii ships to your country (they don't to mine👿) but they're pretty affordable. Drops is also very affordable and everyone seems to love their yarn.

Work on something small, like a hat, those go by quickly. Never scarves, scarves are a commitment, they take so long, they're so boring, fuck scarves.

Wouldn't cotton be a bit heavy for a blanket? what do people usually make blankets out of?

hmm idk. the pattern suggest an acrylic yarn but i dont like acrylic and it seems cotton is the cheapest. i think it will be alright, theres a lot of holes in it too, maybe that will help on the weight
