There would be a natural power imbalance in that relationship based on psychological maturity, but there's a significant difference between 8 and 16. It's not fair to say a 16 y/o and a 24 y/o can't share a healthy relationship based on their age difference alone. The salience of an age gap diminishes as you get older. Definitely gonna raise some eyebrows in western culture, but it's not necessarily unhealthy. Check ur privilege, jeez

It's not negative to me—it's an example of love crossing boundaries and it's only one example of how many sexual orientations someone could have. Most yaoi is fantasy. It's largely written by women, for women, and it rarely concerns itself with realism (such as spontaneous buttsex, like . . . ew lol). Plenty of people are into rape fantasy, but that doesn't mean they advocate rape. it's a fucking fantasy.
