Do you know if there are any conscious effort conducted to create or discover a neutral pronoun in German? I know that Swedish and more recently Norwegian is looking to borrow hän/hen from Finnish to achieve this. It's naturally more easy in these languages as you have han/hon and han/hun, so hen is kinda a middle-ground there, although I must say that phonologically I find hin more appropriate for my dialect than hen.

This is more like me saying this to myself, but it goes for the both of us... I still haven't done anything.
I'm reading through the sources of a paper I intend to use as source to find more sources for my paper so it looks like I have done something
That's literally what I would do for that kind of assignment.

Hmm when I'm not present I don't actually care too much, because I simply won't hear it. I'm not really identifying myself as anything in particular so I guess that's partly why.

However if you are to use pronouns for me, in front of me, please use he/him. She/her pronouns makes me feel uncomfortable when I hear it used for me - Which is probably due to some past issues I've had with my whole gender identity situation.
Even worse than using wrong pronounce at my presence is calling me a litteral woman, girl etc. I guess it just makes me comfortable to a degree where I don't feel comfortable in my own body anymore - For whatever reason.

I do also accept any gender neutral pronounce, but they/them is easier to wrap my mind around.

She her right now, used to go by he him but since the world is complicated and I’m very lazy I don’t want to explain that I don’t really identify with being a girl but I’m no boyish person either so eh, I’m just taking the easy way out and skipping being asked a million questions, and now days I don’t have the energy to care what people call me anymore so it doesn’t bother me too much either :-pp

There are efforts but they are disorganized and the words they came up for so far are pretty stupid

i dont have any, i use any and all, the logic being that im so uncomfortable being referred to as anything at all that i literally doesnt matter what it is, itll always be 100% discomfort. i can tell when someone refers to me a certain way just to piss me off and it does piss me off, but beyond that its all the same. ill always feel like a clown worm on the inside no matter what im referred to as

specific gendered words are another thing tho but that wasnt the question

sorry for being terfy uwu vp i know you hate it but i literally don't have prefered pronouns. i mean i literally don't care. if someone used male pronouns for me they'd probably look hella stupid or just confuse people but you know what you do you i'm not gonna tell you what to say go ahead i guess its not a problem to me.

Like one word is literally blub.... I can't

So far dey/denen/deren is the least stupid sounding one

Edit: if you want to look at the mess

here on vp we have gendered avatars so i feel comfortable defaulting to what i see until im told otherwise but on a site like reddit the default is male. which is a wholeass thing to unpack about male being the default human in our society. or maybe its a hangover from the early internet where there really were many more males than females on discussion forums.
