Just people being needlessly rude to others. Not in a friendly way either (cuz I know being rude to friends is some ppls humor), it’s more of a they’re laughing at you not with you situation.

Best to leave those people alone. It's VP, there are only a handful of us here. Some of us are jerks occasionally, some are jerks every day. Try not to let it get to you. 

Although I do not find it ok, I think it's just... good to learn to turn it into humor or something. Some people are rotten or they are going through something you know nothing about. It's no excuse but you can't really do anything about it.
