i couldnt get along w someone who practices organized religion
like being overly vocal about it i guess, i could respect it but if they try to force it on me or constantly reference it i would likely become impatient
christians are the worst about it imo
lol
yeah, ive been friends w muslim ppl and it was fine even if they sometimes were like "oh i dont do that cus religion" and id be like "aight cool", but i bet a christian would go on a tangent abt it lol

Yeah I just think like, I just cant comprehend how its possible to be religious/spiritual, n some can't comprehend not believing
I think it's super fucking unethical to take kids to church and religiously train them before they're old enough to understand or make choices about it
it pretty much molds their brain
Agreed
Basing values and teachings to kids on Religious/christian values like acceptance (ironic), love, sharing, being fairly humble, do to others what you wish they did to you etc? super good. Taking kids to church and making them worship something or judge others because of religion? Super bad.
my family was religious but for the most part church was always a choice
as it should be
kids are whole ass people and you don't get to brainwash them into being what you want them to be

i will never understand people who are so close minded that they hear one thing and goes "ok this is the truth time to stop thinking now", both in religion and other beliefs

tbh my main issue with christians is that they expect their religion to be the default of everything, and if it's not they consider themselves oppressed
and it makes me wanna smash them over the head with a fucking hammer

lmao i remember when i went to some kinda christianity camp when i was like 12 and i guess it was meant to like brainwash people in a cult way where they basically let the children see how fun it is and end it with a church ceremony and throughout the whole thing i was just extremely overstimulated and tired
😭 I went to christian scouts but it wasn't that bad cus we didn't rlly do any jesus stuff, just tie knots

perhaps that's an aggressive outlook lol
but it makes me sick to my stomach the amount of privilege and say in local politics that christians have where I live

those camps are so cleverly designed to subtly insert indoctrinating information into pliable young minds
at least here they are

I think camps yeah but it was just like uhh,, every thursday we just did stuff, liek regular scout stuff I guess, even tho it was organized by a christian organization tho (how I know the priest, he is very nice and not pushy at all) but tbh I don't think any of the kids there were/became christian

yea but i think its meant to make people want to be apart of christianity, because i know u had to be baptized to be apart of that group of teenagers that organizes these things so it makes people want to get baptized i guess, i actually wanted to join that group for a short period because i wanted that love and appreciation that the teens there got

it also doesn't help that churches, especially in the rural US, are often the only kind of childcare folks can afford, are often the only places that provide afterschool activities, or teen programs, or any kind of events for children.

we need as many non-religious community outreach programs as possible, because the church views those who are struggling as prey for their cult.
