yes, they should have enough social interaction outside the platform that it balances out. if your kid is spending 8 hours a day on a website and having no other social interaction you've failed as a parent

websites should not be parenting kids, like it's ridiculous to put that responsibility on random ppl on the internet and expect things to turn out ok
