I used shampoos and shit, I was allergic to one of them so I think we usually just combed them out with one of those lice combs. It only really stopped around 6th grade and I think cutting my hair in 7th sealed the deal.
Yeah if it went on for long then cutting it was probably a good solution
By that point it wasn't a problem, that's not why I cut it but it surely helped prevent it from being a problem.
