It probably started that way. I feel like the flat earth shit also started that way but who knows at this point.

well,, i mean theres a lot of legit proof of the moon landing being fake though! 
but no one in their right mind creates such a detailed site for moon not beng real if theyre faking it. i hope not at least, that would be way worse than believing the moon is fake
