Im basically trying to find a way to say 

That if you're keeping options open and it doesnt work out I would date if you're interested but if not smooth sailing happy trails

Without sounding desperate/like i want the date to fail

Hes generally slow to reply anyway 

Plus he promised to help me with my car (we had to cut it short because of his date lol) I dont think he is  type to flake
