Ppl that cosplay anime and wear like outfits on the street 😭

Just throwing u guys some fire here bc these are the ones I'm mostly conditioned for j know like i know it has its own layer of values and i don't hate it but it doesn't stop me for quietly asking myself why someone would do that willing. And then i sorta just file it into the map of its not my happiness so why do i even care if they are having a good time w it lol
Reminds me of people that bring their fetish out on the street or in the store Like furry stuff or someone on leash while walking through ikea. I find that kind of hilarious though.

I'm way too judgy about how ppl dress and tbh for widely different reasons I'd probably dislike most of ppl here based on clothing style alone lmao but yeah im less judgy about it now tho bc like i dress weird af as well

while I don't necessarily want to condone this - I think there's some value to it somewhere. The way we dress when we have a choice is the outward presentation of how we want/expect to be perceived.

You should read MEND! A Refashioning Manifesto
I got tore up with how she described fashion within Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs, it made a lot of sense
I dress shitty myself so it's like I would not want to be my own friend most days so im just like gonna be superficially judgy.. Honestly tho, the only reson is bc i attach x styles and outfits to ppl earlier in my life and their vibes and that's sorta something vp is a lesson in too bc most ppl here I would never approach irl if i only knew how they dressed. Like i can act past it now, but my brain still goes there automatically.

Ill add it to my tbr!
Well for example
I live in the US, in the south
folks who don't wanna be associated with shitty southern stereotypes (even tho it shouldn't take this much effort) will actively dress in ways to distinguish themselves way from it.

I don't know if I have something like that,
I either dislike them or just go meh
All about the vibe, or if they're visibly stupid idk

THIS REMINDS ME OF ONE OF MY MANY LATE 90s/EARLY 00s CHILDHOOD STORIES LOL

when I was a teenager, probably about 13 years old, my buddy and I were big Korn fans and I walked him around school, and the mall, on a leash, because of the song Freak on a Leash
no adults ever were willing to explain why it wasn't okay.

which also reminds me of the time when I was little I asked my mom what the word fetish meant and she was too embarrassed to tell me so she just said "it means you like something a LOT" and I went around using my new vocabulary word all the time absolutely mortifying every adult in my path.

I mean yeah that's probably more reasonable in those scenarios than over here. Idk bc i don't rly dwell too much in the city life so what do i even know of stereotypes that much. Its the basic, popular, norwegian grown up style that is horrendous and beige w mass produced "high fashion" brands or what ppl call it, and that definitely is not something i want to be assosiated w bc it's a vibe of mean girls. But also i cant dress so it just ends up like trash and basic clothing bc it's easy. You can't fail too much w some demin, converse and singel colored tee and a jacket for the weather that never fit any style. If I actually knew how to dress I'd probably end up somewhere closer to book/academia vibes without it looking like i jumped out of the 1960s, and sorta Boho stuff mixed w sporty so officially a mess bc i would never own enough clothes to pull of anything long term so everything gotta be usable in several situations👍🏻

Idk if this made any sense. I've lost my talking braincells.

Yeees!
And i keep saying the english word for the norwegian one eg. I was gonna say " i plan to do that" in norwegian so instead of saying "jeg planlegger å gjøre det" i said "I plan å gjøre det" bc my brain was like just ah English, no norwegian endings
