At least for me, I've never had a big soap on mens razors, its only like the tiny strip that does nothing anyway so idc abt those, but the womens soap turns like,,, slimey and soapy and all bad shit, and its too thick so its just inconvenient

The cheap ones often have less blades at least (like 3 blades instead of 5 for example) so its easier to cut urself from my experience

No, why would it. Usually I switch out the razors if they start tugging too much, like every 6 months maybe lol, but usuallly the amount of irritation just depends in what direction u shave first
I can't get a proper shave without shaving-cream or a soap. Even with a brand-new quality razor.
