Drops has some merino and cotton merino options and they're quite cheap. I think Filcolana also has merino? Not sure, but they have some pretty wools and blends, I have their arwetta yarn and it was pretty affordable and seems like great quality. I haven't started knitting with it yet, it only just arrived this week but I've heard great reviews. That specific yarn is VERY thin though, like, light fingering, so probably opt for a different one lol. But yeah, both those brands are pretty affordable comparatively and they have good reviews and nice colour selections. You've probably heard of them already but yeah... I bought my filcolana yarn from knitt.co.uk and it arrived very quickly, the shipping wasn't too bad and it was one of the cheapest prices I've seen it go for.

Maybe a cotton merino blend won't be as expensive or heavy but still just as nice? Or acrylic if you don't mind synthetic fibers.so today i realized you cant make an entire blanket out of cotton unless you want it to weight 4kg... im sad
