I need it for studying. I was mostly thinking of macbook because i have an iphone and ipad so i could get them all linked up. But my previous computer for school was asus vivobook and it was pretty good. Lasted for four years, but i did play sims on it which i will not be installing into the new computer

Well if it is just for uni you could get something with the same power for cheaper imo, no need to pull out the wallet for a macbook 
unless you think the option to sync all devices will be a game changer for you then by all means

asus vivo is a good laptop, and you are certain you won't be using it for games or anything else?
I also wanted a laptop just for studying but ended up getting a gaming laptop and honestly.... for me it was better

Thats a good point! And no i wont be gaming on it, the only game i have is sims and i am planning on installing it on a different device. I am just so clueless on which brands are good and how much i should pay for a computer and i feel like if i were to go to a store and ask they would just scam me to buy the most expensive one lol
