Telling people to brush their pets teeth is like half our job tbh so this checks out! Gl, give her treats if shes a treat enjoyer
Yeah, the vet just commented on very slight inflammation in the gums nd some tandsten. But when I asked the nurse for tips on how to start brushing at her age she looked at the teeth much more thorough and noticed something that might be (not necessarily) the start of TR and told me to keep an extra lookout. Just felt strange that the vet didn't notice/comment on it, but he seemed to be in a rush lol...
I did a half assed try to brush her teeth when she was a kitten but gave up as one does, but I think she'll do okay with it
Naur this feels quite in line with nurse vs vet focus, obviously depends on who you talk to like if you end up with a dental vet obviously you might get more from them but vets tend to be more focused on illnesses etcetc and were more focused on general care, so were a bit more observant with teeth bc tooth brushing is part of general care if that makes sense
im also bad with the brushing upkeep tbh and percy is v chill with it

lets hope she tolerates it enuf to do it! It helps a lot with overall disease prevention too since the mouth is such a good entryway for germs n stuff
Yeah idk it always feels like the vets are in a rush nd wanna get out of there nd the nurses are more gentle and take their time. But it's fine, main thing is that Snusan is overall healthy, we'll just wait for blood test results as well. If we can get the toofers in check I bet she'll live forever
