Also ppl justifying being hateful etc on the bible etc ^, could be misleading for ppl that don't know much abt the religion. Esp w islam, I don't think islam is a hateful religion in on itself, but what a lot of ppl r seeing from islam is islamic countries being very conservative, hateful etc and blame that on the religion itself
It's a bit deeper than that. It's about the scripture and meanings of it. Not just anyone going "Islam bad because Islamic country bad".

Yeah that's what I think it's boring, the rules and the small details are boring. In Judaism there's so much to learn, you could spend the rest of your life studying it and not scratch the surface, if you're into that sort of thing. Christianity is just, a lot of infighting but like, about nothing.
Also I respect you, not your religion, and that is my right. Also I respect you enough to know that your faith is strong enough that a dumbass on the internet laughing at it isn't gonna shake it up. I mean, on whose account are you offended, Gd? He's Gd, I think he can handle it.
Not what i meant ^^
as i said before, i do not mind people who don't believe in it / believe in something else / atheists, etc.

It's none of my business and it doesn't really bother me, what confuses me is why it bothers people the other way around.

What I meant, is that people shouldn't disrespect other's beliefs by judging the person itself FOR believing in a certain thing. Really bad at explaining, not my primary language but lol
And I guess I get that,
I'm not very much of a "I read the whole bible" type of gal,
I just use it as a "moral guide" if that makes sense. (Minus the shit that's been added to it afterwards, including the homophobia or witchcraft stuff lol)
Lmao it hasn't been added afterwards. After what lol

The bible contains as much "homophobia" as it does "lyingphobia" and "blasphemyphobia".
Christians are taught to love all, including homosexuals.

Think about it like this. Do you think lying is good? Probably not. Does that mean you hate liars? Of course not. People often get confused about that!
Yeah but being gay is the same as lying, right?

Not rlly, most non islamic ppl know very little about islam and what its about, so when all they see is bad stuff (bad islamic countries, hateful people blaming it on their religion, terrorists always being muslim in ppls minds (cus of media? Idk) and all that) + general xenophobia, its not hard to see how ppl have a negative view of islam, same with any religion rlly but esp islam. W other religions its mostly xenophobia, and how much bad that has happened in the world in the name of religion

Do you think being a homosexual is a active choice we make just like how we chose if we want to lie or not?

The weirdest thing I think is jews, because I don't think most ppl really have anything against jews, but I feel like the general population still hold a bad impression of them cus of old nazi views. Not smth most think about I guess, but still. Same w every minority tho rlly. I don't think most ppl would say they don't like black people or muslims if u asked them on the street, and I think they genuinly feel like they don't either, but ppl still have prejudice against them, conscious or not. I think thats a big problem w religion at least

Any serious critic of Islam would bring up texts from the Quran.

Why do you think that is the case? I mean "old nazi views" doesn't really say a lot. What do you personally think?

I think I have more faith in the general population than you do! I would at least hope most people know the basics at least.

You wouldn't necessarily learn about these things in school, I don't think (for obvious reasons). But most people have access to books and the computer, no?
