Eh, I'm intermediate but right leaning so the "elite european opinion on american politics" would ruin me.
I don't like China, but I don't feel the need to constantly shit on them either. My only opinion is that something needs to come from how they handled covid, because they showed how little they cared when this all started. (though Trump failed us as well.)

My point is that American politicians and pundits are exploiting China's mistakes to instill fear into its citizens in order to promote a particular protectionist, nationalistic agenda and that's disgusting 

I have my own criticisms of china but you get the gist

What I intended with nationalism is just having a little pride in where you're from ig. So maybe that wasn't the correct term to use idk.
