Spanking them, can be teaching them violence is the solution tho, i cannot see it as a good thing at all?
I can see that too, I'm not saying to just go around smacking your kid for every little thing.

I don't think there is any excuse to be honest. 
U are teaching the violence, u are causing them pain, besides that u cannot go up from spanking, the next step is hitting your child and that's not okay at all. U are also creating a power difference that shouldn't be there.
