this is because there are too many covid patients in the hospital

dont underestimate the psychological effects of being a healthy person and then suddenly losing all energy and taste. covid is not a joke
im just not sure that is true . here in the uk at least, covid has had a HUGE effect on waiting times for hospital treatment even though there werent many covid patients in the hospitals ovr the summer at all. My grandad got diagnosed w cancer the other day (not in the uk, tiny european country w not many covid cases) and he cant see anyone about it for at least anothr month which is causing him so much stress . even on a smaller scale, ive been on a waiting list to get a tooth fixed for like ??? months now n it causes me excruciating pain every day lol n the waiting list is so long bcuz they can only treat like three patients a day as opposed to thirty due to covid disinfection n social distancing regulations etc etc
This really just shows too how we have to keep up with the rules, so we don't have this crazy amount of people in the hospitals, taking up space for others. I hope your granddad get some help soon!

yes here in germany school is completely normal, and if there are students in quarantine they still don't close it. they just send the quarantined students the class' assignments per microsoft teams lol

Yeah I get that, the problem is that ppl r not searching help/can't get help because of the hospitals always having to be ready for a sudden super wave of corona. Ppl aren't checking out/are dismissed from checking out strokes, getting cancer treatment etc. We have like 500+ maybe intensive respirator spots (??) In norway, n like 15 I think is in use per today, but still it would be extremely hard to get to use them if its not for corona, because of the fear of the sudden super wave of whatever. 
But it depends where u live also, in places like norway I don't think lockdown or how it is now with health care is the best idea, just because yes, its believable more ppl r dying from the lack of health care or socialization than corona itself. In other places where lots n lots n lots of ppl r dying from corona its best to try to stop it to a bigger degree, but in norway I rlly don't see the point in anything beyond washing hands, keeping ur distance n regular common sense
