Idk I mean I guess my point is that
Threats of rape and violence are never fucking ok
But I think people also hide behind the abuse they suffered to also deflect valid criticism and not have to address it ever, laci green has. She didnt deserve to be doxxed or threatened but she also didn't really owe up to her bad takes at the time fully, like obviously stand up to abuse but take accountability too
And I get sick of really high profile ppl acting like they're "cancelled" when they usually still have more power and influence than the average person and can bounce back super fucking quickly often
Idk not a popular opinion but w/e
Social media is toxic tho I do agree
ok but most current twitter woke activist's stance is "either you agree with me or you are canceled", so literally there is no way to be your authentic self unless you parrot the current set of "socially woke ideals" that everyone else is spouting.
like literally every few months something new becomes problematic and every twitter use must form that same opinion and readjust their moral compass like it's some sort of software update
Eh I honestly dont think its that black and white and I think ppl just like to focus on the black and white peeps
And I really think some ppl hide behind being cancelled and the fact some ppl take stuff too far to deflect criticism generally
