which conditioners do you use, if you use any? how do you use it? educate me please
i use the olaplex one, it’s expensive tho so im thinking abt moving to some other brand cus i go thru a lot of conditioner

and i use conditioner every time i shower (i only shampoo abt once a week if that), let it sit and do it’s job in my hair for ~5minutes and sometimes, not always i brush my hair before rinsing it out
i have olaplex too but i only used it once because it felt like it straightened and made my hair more frizzy? i shower twice a week and i use the curly shampoo and hair oil after the shower, but i'll have to give olaplex a chance
did u specifically try the no5?

i'm using this new curly hair shampoo to see if it can help or maybe activate my hair. it's been working amazingly so far but my curls tend to flatten out after i go to sleep. it doesn't have sulfates or silicone in it so that's good! however... i don't use a conditioner so i think that might be the problem
omg conditioner is a must

I use Shea Moisture's Jamaican Black Castor Oil strengthen shampoo & conditioner.
There's one with coconut oil that a lot of people love as well if you were to look into that brand.
Coconut oil is great, but makes me itchy so I'll usually put some into the ends and avoid my scalp.
I like to section my hair into two parts and rub some of the conditioner into it to detangle with my fingers. (It should feel slippery like seal skin).
You want to leave conditioner in for 2-3 minutes (the bottle typically says that).
There's also a method you could use called "squish-to-condish" that can help the curls form and create less frizz.

do you use a towel to squish your hair or a t-shirt? maybe a third option as well?

MAUI shea butter shampoo and REDKEN are wonderful to dry and frizzy hair. I've used the maui mask for chemically damaged hair and that worked wonders as well as a lot of other of their products. I'd advice you to look into those brands.

I shampoo and condition every three days since you don't need to wash curly hair as often, then i use conditioner spray and hair oil after I've washed my hair, works 10/10 for me

Oh and I currently use olaplex shampoo and conditioner, it's really good!

so if i understand correctly, these are the steps:
1. cleanse with shampoo
2. use conditioner (also to detangle hair)
3. dry with cotton t-shirt
4. hair oil?

I dont have curly hair but i have VERY thick, voluminous and frizzy hair so i can relate to this like washing it takes so long cuz even getting all of my hair wet takes several minutes cuz u rly gotta get in there to get to the roots and i have to use so much shampoo to get it all washed AND NOW during the pandemic my hairhas grown SO MUCH like i have never in my life had hair this long so now its even more high maintenance like ive always kept my hair like collar bone length to minimize the wildness and maintenance but now its grown out to the point where it covers my boobs and now i want to keep it long bc ive never had long hair and im kinda loving this new look for me but it drives me crazy

its like i got all the work and annoyance of the hair type that is typically curly BUT WITHOUT THE PRETTY CURLS
