Yes but I just ?? Just cus u like being skinny urself, doesn't mean u look down upon bigger ppl. Weird. Everybody should just strive to be their best self n whatever bla bla bla. Unlike what fat activists will tell u
no and i get that i also do not necessarily agree with that viewpoint, but i do think they bring up valid points. A LOT of people lose weight because they do not want to be treated like fat people are

i like... dont care about eugenia cooney's health for example but i do care about the health of the millions of girls who watch her and also i dont want to see her gross body it's disturbing and grotesque.
not to say like 'skinny people are gross' like i literally weighed less than a hundred pounds for most of my adult life but at a certain point its gross and like scary to look at.
oh yeah i mean when it’s severely severely obvious that someone is skinny because they’re ill and it’s known that the illness is an ED and not like cancer sure, i understand a public health concern

but the way the body checking accusations manifest on tiktok it’s like literally just random young girls who pop up on your fyp that you know nothing about and more often than not it’s not about being “thin” but about adhering to current body standards like someone like @loserthrift who is thin but trans and doesn’t really have curves will not be accused of body checking while obviously showing off her body in an outfit video, but random girls with like extreme hourglass shapes who aren’t necessarily “sickly thin” will be crucified for wearing a crop top

like without being on tiktok and seeing this i beleive it like  body checking is clearlly a real thing that people really do but its also probably an easy accusation to make to bully a skinny chick

i think it's also part projecting and being insecure, which ofc is understandable but still

yes but like how u want to look is influenced by media / society so it's not like anyone is immune to it

i still don't understand what that is honestly, i just can't grasp it. but tiktok is awful about EDs in general lmfao... they're literally posting screenshots of fat people (as in other tiktokkers who are fat) as reverse thinspo in their little ed communities

yes i can def understand that. they get hated on for being fat, which is disgusting ofc, but bc of that they are very insecure and need to see every thin person as having an ED so it kind of validates themselves and their feelings abt being fat

but yeah i do think since we are raised in a society that constantly markets thin people as desirable and attractive, and fat people as lazy and ugly (for example in media, fat people are the dumb comic relief), we cannot escape fatphobia being ingrained in us

it's tough to unlearn. if you ask most people 'would you want to be fat' they would say no. same goes for me, i woudln't want to be fat. even if i am still healthy and fat. the vile things people say to fat people and how they are treated, ignored, policed, etc.

also what do you guys think about people working out just to lose weight? and not for health reasons? is that necessarily fatphobic? i saw this tiktok of a trainer who said she wouldn't help people reach aesthetic goals anymore (like fat booty, thin stomach) but just work on health related reasons.

idk i feel like we're all a bit fatphobic. its a bit like racism or sexism
If that is fatphobia, I am fatphobic. Like honestly lmfao, wth
Yeah same. It seems rly farfetched.

Idk ppl don't wanna look skinny either. Or normal weight. Forever cursed no matter what body u have. If its not the weight, its the shape

Its so weird all this, my sister is severely underweight, but even ppl skinnier than her have called her a skeleton etc its just what 😭 she has def gotten more comments than me on her body, even tho I've always been one of the biggest ones (not overweight, just look very big in all directions cus im tall) in my groups (friends, school etc) n its just ok. Never understand the ppl who seem to think being ultra skinny by default is the beaty standard
