I'm all about finding your people and cultivating a support network that you feel safe with, but it's important not to exist in an echo chamber, too. We can't just walk away and isolate ourselves from everything we don't like rather than learning how to genuinely deal with people.
"everything we dont like" is such an understatement.... im honestly getting the vibe that u arent well read on the true extent of patriarchy and what women have experienced just from i.e having a male doctor. like think about the husband stitch. is a woman supposed to just deal with that because "we must be civilised and think about how MEN feel TOO!" or is it better for her to avoid it entirely

i was abused by my mother so i know that LOL but separating from males ( as much as possible) would reduce a lot of issues women face caused by said males.......................... i mean thats just common sense
Meh I think if women were in a seperated group, they would manage to separate and discriminate against themselves in some other way. Not just ladida everything is nice cus we r women very good very good. I feel like I am probably personally more shitty than most men lol
I mean less and less of that happens when you get older, or at least, as you get older you have more autonomy to remove yourself from the types of folks who are catty and discriminatory.
If you're approaching 30 and still find the women in your social circles behaving like that, it's time to reflect on yourself.
Yeha I was more talking abt bigger groups of women/women as a whole being seperated into their own world (does that make sense lol...) then def some of the women would become the "men" in the group, disregarding race issues etc obviously but u get my point. With very small groups (hand picked) its controllable

yh the "men" women are called blackpillers i dont like them AT ALL and would rather DIE than live with any of them even though they raise admirable points at times the rest of the time theyre utterly consumed by internalized misogyny and feel no way about verbally n emotionally abusing other women

as someone active in academia circles yeah there are plentyyyyy of disapirities between women but half of them are cultivated by patriarchy and the other half is just normal human conflict but you arent making any real argument against a female only commune... like the point of it isnt to achieve world peace and enlightenment its to .....  spare themselves from unnecessary negative experiences with males. bit confused on why ur so adamant to reaffirm women can be shit too when i didnt state otherwise & i would assume the women living together had u kno met beforehand and maybe even know eachother well. i wouldnt willingly move in with anyone im likely to clash with
Yes it could mby work if it was like 5 girls n they were all ur friends from before but thats more like just yeah, friends, roommates, whatever, wouldn't call it a commune. I think eh do whatever u want rlly, was just sharing my opinion lol, and imo its looked at as very idyllic etc (and terfy yes honestly lol) but u do u, im going to bed its 6am aj
actually true a commune might include some women u arent that familiar with

also i couldnt give less of a fuck if im viewed as terfy tbh if anything u need to dig deeper and find out who or what has driven u to react to women putting women first as bigotry... goodnight

I don't mean that with the men women, I mean that a big chunk of women will become what men symbolize for many, not that they will be misogynistic or whatever. More like power-hungry, rude, whatever whatever, but not being rude and discriminatory towards other women because of their gender, but because of their skin color, income, etc etc

I don't need to dig deeper, I just don't see men nor women as better than the other or more worthy of my time and energy, so I don't agree with putting women first, I agree with putting the people I find the least bad first, regardless of their grouping in society

I'm literally not even arguing, I'm just exploring topics from different angles and it feels like you're assigning meanings to my words that I never expressed.
And bold to assume I'm not well read? I've been funded via women's organizations to work on independent projects, research, curriculum design, and art surrounding women's experiences under the thumb of the patriarchy through the lens of fiber craft - over 20 grand in funding that was awarded based on my well researched proposals.
I may not be an expert, but this is literally my career path. I don't have all the answers, but neither do you.

i didnt expect this discussion to unfold but female only communes are even more appealling to me now except they cant just be female they also have to be raw unfiltered radical feminists gosh id love to just sit in a circle with my flatmates and explosively lose our minds over discourse while drinking tea. gonna manifest that in my dreams

The communes I've seen be semi-successful usually were the ones that was an older couple that allowed younger folks to build their own homes on their land. There was still a lot of independence amongst each family.

I mean, toxic masculinity is pretty destructive, but I have to remind myself that no one wakes up and says "I'm gonna get brainwashed today" and becomes a raging misogynist
its years of societal indoctrination, media control, and generations of unparented girls and coddled boys.
