I agree that it isn't really what ppl should do. Society does though especially when it comes to the word beautiful. Beauty is subjective in certain aspects though so that's a difficult one. Ideally ppl would only give compliments based on what they know and/or truly feel.

Being average and/or ugly is seen as less than, if you're not picture-perfect, you can't possibly be genuinely happy with yourself.

I find amongst my personal circles that either they never cared or that pressure just wasn't there. The ones who did usually focused more on working out and fashion. It's interesting really.

Yes! and it is super annoying. My sister the other day mentioned she doesnt look as good these days bc she's gained over 20 kgs and is now overweight. Our mom and her bf tried to push the idea that it wasn't true but it is. Me and my sis sat and explained to them that admitting that is okay.

Same w bodies I have noticed lol, big/skinny women r praised online in some circles (at least bigger women) but men r fat ugly pigs or scrawny sticks 😭
