I really dislike choice feminism because yes it is her choice to make this her album cover and for her to act the way she does, but what influenced her to make this choice?

when ur brand is being young small petite short .. child like almost and still slightly playing into the role of being a teenager etc etc and then going onto being hyper sexual which i mean its fine to be that but like shes replicated a lolita scene in a photoshoot before?? she done a lingerie photo shoot in a bedroom decorated like a.. teenagers.. very much leaning into the "barely legal" & "lolita" aesthetic while being 26

not to go against also what cashmere and miguel were saying bc like, yeah in a critical vacuum where we're inspecting her actions she definitely isn't starting a new wave of feminism with this one

but at EOD why are we inspecting these actions and what is it accomplishing? why her now other than her being in the spotlight currently? what are the factors at play here
I just really hate seeing stuff like this going into the mainstream again like we as women fought so hard to be seen as strong and independent only for us to be represented like this again.. Obviously she's not 100% to blame since this is a rising trend in general but girls and women around the world look up to her and see this and will think it's normal to be objectified and to only be seen as a sex object for men
which is a completely valid point!!! you have every right to be upset abt it

but then its like... what about strong independent women who love the idea of being seen as a sex object. at what point is it infringing on their independence if we tell them that being seen in this way is not allowed

This is true yes, there’s so many social movements in general taking a lot of steps back right now n this kinda thing can just be an example of what’s going on which makes it frustrating to see even if on its own it would have been kinda meh whatever, burning the bigger social climate it’s just damn another thing this sucks

"they're gonna check if I have autism"
"..but u don't."
"let's go tell them that u don't."

help i don't mean to be mean foreal i swear

i feel like her appearance definitely plays a big part into how she chose to brand herself too.. not to be a narcissist and bring myself into this but i'm also uwuwuwuw short and i totally understand how it might feel like there's a limited chance to be perceived as a sexual adult woman (i'm sorry for quoting you), so what's probably been suggested to her is that she leans into how she can profit off of that with what assests she has, even if it means sexualizing teenhood.

it's sad really and she doesn't have to do this, but it's very likely that this is how she's been conditioned to think and how she believes she'll be able to make a profit. i hope she'll be fine when she grows older and can't rely on youthfulness
