my question asks that some trans women 1) want to be seen as women but also want people to acknowledge that  2) trans women are at a higher risk of hate crime (amongst others)

but women of color are not concerned about (1). they are concerned about (2). so it's a false equivalence because not the same set of statements hold.
1 and 2 do not contradict each other because trans women are women
okay let's make the preposition that trans women = women, then what does (2) mean? trans women are at a higher risk of hate crime than women. because then that isn't possible if trans women = women
What a stupid sentence.

i'm not bothered but i don't think showing off an obese person is body positivty????
so what
i think fat people get to show off their body either way, like anyone else
fat people taking selfies or pictures of their body doesnt automaticalle make them part of the bodyposi movement
they specifically tag their videos/photos with body positivty
whats wrong with people trying to be positive about their bodies.. theres a whole industry that implies that being underweight (and most likely having an ED) is being beautiful *cof cof kpop*, does that bother you on the same level?

ngl most weight loss diets ive seen seem incredibly unhealthy
also quick weight loss can bring on life threatening side effects, such as risk of heart failure/attack
Crash diets r never a good idea but generally lowering ur intake is like, the only way to lose weight healthy pretty much
indeed yeah, as long as its not too drastic tho
Yes but most likely if u are very fat u eat a lot more than u should, most of them could just drop down to 2000 calories a day (the healthy amount for most healthy ppl) and they r good, some go down to 1500 depends but below that its unhealthy, but yeah

trans women are women with a specific life experience and are at a threat of violence because of other people do not percieve them as women
it's very simple idk why you cant see that
so you're arguing that trans women should become a strict subset of women? which means that all trans women are women but they are a distinct group when it comes to social issues?

but then im confused, because there is now the belief that anyways who feels they should identify as trans is trans. so by extension, any person who wants to be a woman, is a woman. and i feel like i can't really get behind that thought pattern. because the desire to redefine terms such as woman, gender, etc. as completely social constructs is counterproductive to me.
yes to the bolded part but the first part was uhhhhh not great
trans women have an unique experience of being a woman. same as black women, asian women, disabled women, red haired women, blind women, african women etc. if you insist on having subsets of women then do that for every single group of woman

then that's your issue to deal with. "women" automatically includes trans women

how would you feel about eugina cooney tagging her photos with body positivity? she's clearly underweight and unhealthy.

i put that in the same category as obese people. they are both unhealthy and shoulkdn't be part of body posiitibvity movement if they truly cared about bodoy positivity and promoting health

No, I think it's great to want to grow, I just think the sentence you just wrote? Yeah, it was stupid. Didn't make sense in the slightest.
