well then *before asperger got merged with the entire autism spectrum it was a requirement to have an average or above average intelligence* but now apparently its not, how fun is that
but still it means that while you dont need a high intelligence to be diagnosed with autism the higher functioning end of the spectrum is still dominated by people with average and above intelligence (obviously) because it consists mostly of people previously diagnosed with asperger
anyway 7 years more and there will probably be another complete reform and you will be as confused as im now trying to understand what is outdated and whats still valid
