Yeah I think that's technically what we're supposed to do. I mean, it comes in the set of sheets lol.
I hate them though, if I do use them I never tuck them under the mattress like my grandma did ugh

my exterminator told me not to do that cuz it gives bedbugs and roaches nice snug places to hide :)

my house is way cleaner since I got a bed frame, hair and dust doesn't accumulate around my mattress anymore
