they ask what dip do you want in norway, and on the english things as well (on those self-order stalls)
they say sauce in Germany too, but I guess that#s mostly because we don't have a word like condiment (the german transaltion is literally just "spice" as in "to spice up your food"
norwegian generally operate with saus and dip (often writen as dipp lol) (english loan) and condiment is translated to tilbehør (accessory basically)
reminds me of the vinaigrette / salad dressing disaster
I said I wanted vinaigrette with my salad (vinaigrette is a vinegar based salad dressing and fairly specific) and the lady thought I just asked for "salad dressing" and gave me cesar dressing and then didn't understand when I complained

brits put potato chips (crisps) on a toasted slice of bread and consider it a meal
tbh, the brits know how to make "I want to feel my depression while eating" food

I feel called out because when I really don't fancy cooking, I just add a bit of salt and garlic powder to a slice of bread and call it a day
dry as fuck, but kinda nice

hmmm yeah vinaigrette is "lighter" than dressing because dressing is either mayo or creme fraiche-based imo (or equivalents of those)
