That's true. As long as it isn't justified, then I don't find it to be too bad to write about. Idk, maybe it's because it seems to be something most people either know someone who experienced, or experienced themselves, so it seems kind of relateable?
But it honestly also sounds like it's handled quite okay in the series you're mentioning.
It's just very sad, I saw a movie classified as a comedy and the main "comedy" thing was that he was cheating on his boyfriend and I felt so sorry for his boyfriend that I spent the entire movie pretty much crying because I found the other guy so incredibly mean and awful and I don't find it even remotely funny it's just sad 
What a weird way to write a comedy ??? wtf.

One example that's not spoiling anything is how the parents  of the two main characters (and actually also the world) deal with the children realising their existence when they (as children) write their own name on things or place their hands on things and it marks them kinda, it's very masterful I'd say because you can return to that at the end and be like that's very interesting

Yeah also it's super bad, I think the concept was that there were some online? thing that kept sending new guys to one of them and he was like haha no i am in a relationship but then he cheated and the other one found out and it was not funny at all
