It's not everything but it's fundamental. How are you supposed to teach your kid anything in general if he or she doesn't respect you? Good luck raising a child that won't listen to you

You shouldn't have kids if you won't be able to love them. If it's true that you literally do not love anybody else beside yourself, maybe having children wouldn't be a great idea.
