It should be clarified that these characters have the same name as the real musicians. The real people must not be shipped with each other. The way I see it, it's okay to ship the fictional personas - with real names - but basis in the show only. Because oh boy, the FICTIONAL subtext is there.
The thumbnails of the show playlist on YT gives a good impression of which episodes show this, imo. Mike has black hair and a woolen dark green/blue hat while Micky has brown hair and a cute lil baby face lmao. These came to mind anyway. I watched all 58 episodes btw 
Never watched The Monkees TV Series, does it hold up to watch it today?
