we really not so bright over here, right mate?
do you think it's wrong to tell your mother that she is the best mother in the world? because she might not be the best mother... literally... and it's not like you can chose your parents so why should you have respect for them or be proud of them? now apply that logic to the one about being proud of your own country. you can have your own personal reasons for preferring your own country over others. i do not understand why you act as if that is a bad thing because it's not.

because for many european countries, they aren't better than other countries, because the countries are more or less the same
that's like being orange juice is better than apple juice
no, it's not, you just have a personal preference over something and being that caught up over a country, that doesn't even care about you as a person (just the same as the juice doesn't care about you) is just on the mental level of a kindergartener who tries to outbest his friends by thinking he's the greatest of them all, because he has such a sophisticated taste in juice
(if you don't get the metaphor, I seriously can't dumb it down anymore, it just shows that you don't want people's insight, but just get your point across and indoctrinate people with what you think is right instead of having a balanced discussion)
i'm not ignoring your argument, it's just hard to argue with a false premise that i don't agree with.. you may have your own personal experiences which makes you prefer the orange juice over the apple juice. maybe it just tastes better to you while other people prefer the apple juice.. your own personal experiences makes you prefer certain things over others. i do not see that as a bad thing.you see, I told this already twice why it doesn't work, but you just ignore it
