I forget that day exist until it comes around again. Great when you need something specific and want a deal. Awful for overconsumption.

I am though since I moved away for studying
I write down every time I spend money and code it and then at the end of the month I group it into categories to track my spending and the ratio between it all (so I have my spending notebook and the yearly sheets)
it's mostly to see how much living costs me for when I'll have to be fully self-reliant
